Concrete services throughout the Portland metro area

Happy Valley Concrete offers a full range of concrete services for residential and commercial customers in Happy Valley, Clackamas County and the greater Portland metro area. Every job starts with proper base prep and forming and ends with a finish built to last through wet Pacific Northwest winters. Below is what each service includes and where to read more.

Concrete driveways

New pours, replacements and resurfacing for residential and small commercial driveways. We cover excavation, base, thickness, reinforcement, joints and finish, and explain each in writing. Concrete driveways.

Concrete patios and pavers

Standard, colored, stamped and paver patios that turn backyards into living space, with slope and drainage planned first. Looking for pavers instead of poured concrete? As part of FD Hardscape, we also install paver patios and paver walkways alongside our concrete work. Concrete patios and stamped concrete vs pavers.

Walkways, sidewalks and steps

Pathways, entry walks, steps and sidewalk repair, poured clean and level with slip-resistant finishes and consistent rise and run. Walkways and sidewalks.

Stamped and decorative concrete

The look of pavers, brick or stone in dozens of patterns and color options, sealed for our climate. Stamped and decorative concrete.

Commercial concrete

Heavy-duty slabs, foundations and pads for shops, barns, warehouses and commercial buildings, with scheduling that respects a working business. Commercial concrete.

How we work

Every project follows the same order: a free on-site estimate, a written scope, a permit and utility check, excavation and a compacted base, forms and reinforcement, a pour and finish, control joints and cure protection, and a walkthrough. The full sequence is in how a concrete project works, and our prep, pour and warranty expectations page is written as a checklist for comparing bids. For what drives price, see the cost guide, which shows national ranges only.

Choosing the right service for your project

If you are replacing a cracked or settled driveway, start with concrete driveways. If you want a place to sit outside, start with patios, and if the look matters as much as the function, add stamped concrete to the conversation. A path, a set of steps or a sidewalk repair belongs on the walkways page, and shop, barn or business slabs belong on the commercial page. Many homeowners combine two or three of these, for example a new driveway with a matching entry walkway and a small patio, and combining them in one visit can simplify scheduling and mobilization. Tell us everything you are considering, and we will scope each piece separately so you can decide what to do now and what to do later.

What every service has in common

The pieces of the job that you cannot see are the same across every service: excavation to the right depth, compacted crushed rock, correct thickness, reinforcement, control joints, and drainage that carries water away. When one of those steps is thin, the failure shows up as a crack, a settled panel or a puddle, usually within a few wet winters. That is why our estimates describe those steps in writing.
